Second level nz domains are now open for preregistration. This means from the 30th of September you will be able to register [mydomain].nz (up to now it's been [mydomain].co.nz or similar)
If you already have the .co.nz domain you can preregister your .nz domain ahead of this time, to prevent others taking it. Email us with your domain preregistration. It must be hosted with us to process any preregistrations, else you can preregister with the folks you registered that domain with.
What should you do? It's hard to say, as to some it's just one more domain. But it's probably that many people will start registering .nz over the others domains.
